ABOUT e-GOVERNANCE

Current Scenario in Government Agencies.

Government is the largest service provider and resource manager to the public but is characterized, in most cases by Inefficiency, Ineffectiveness, Unaccountability, Lack of Transparency and to a large extent leading to CORRUPT PRACTICES.

Today departments and agencies operate independently with minimum links among themselves and therefore citizen who seek services often end up going from one office to the other without being serviced.

The Challenge

To bring Government services onto an efficient, effective and transparent platform resulting into Accountability in services and resource management.

By bringing all governmental services on a single secure platform, citizens can be serviced through a "One-Stop Government". This would allow citizens to benefit from the government's services with confidence.

The recent advances in communication technologies and the Internet provide opportunities to transform the relationship between governments and citizens in a new way, thus contributing to the achievement of good governance goals.
